A cargo ship named Tugberk İmamoglu sank in the Marmara Sea at 3 am on Wednesday after colliding with the Turkish-flagged vessel Alsu, 20 miles south of Silivri.
Transport Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu confirmed that all 10 Turkish crew members remain missing, noting that the vessel sank rapidly within 11 minutes of the collision.
Maritime authorities have recovered a lifeboat and debris from the 90-metre ship, but search operations continue as the vessel failed to respond to communication attempts.
