Delhi Court Extends Judicial Custody of Six in Satya Niketan Collapse Case

A Delhi court extended the judicial custody of six accused by 14 days over the September 6 collapse of a five-storey paying guest building in Satya Niketan that killed seven people.

The detained individuals include building owner's son Mahesh Gupta, his parents Urmila and Hariram, PG operators Sudhanshu and Shubham Tyagi, and labour contractor Sanoj.

Police investigation revealed that repair work was underway in the basement and ground floor of the building, leading to civic authority suspensions and ongoing Delhi High Court safety hearings.
