Union Education Minister Pralhad Joshi launched a six-month Certificate Bridge Course in Primary Teacher Education for in-service teachers holding B.Ed. degrees.

Implemented via the National Institute of Open Schooling, the program is designed for primary teachers appointed between June 2018 and August 2023.

The curriculum combines theoretical learning with at least 10 days of online contact classes and 20 days of school-based experience through open and distance learning.
