UN Secretary-General Guterres to Attend BRICS Summit in New Delhi

United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres will participate in the 18th BRICS Summit scheduled for September 12-13, 2026, at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

India, currently holding the BRICS chairship for the fourth time, is hosting the event under the theme 'Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability' with over 350 meetings held across 25 cities.

World leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian are expected to attend the summit, which marks the 20th anniversary of the BRICS bloc.
