Food and Drug Administration (FDA) officials in Navi Mumbai busted a racket involved in tampering with expiry dates and nutrition labels on products from PepsiCo and Nestle.
Authorities seized goods worth ₹76 lakh, including popular items like Maggi and Lay's, which were being repackaged and sold to unsuspecting consumers.
The investigation has expanded to Noida, with police registering cases against the firm's operators for endangering public health through the sale of expired food items.
