
The Indian women's hockey team achieved its best World Cup finish in 52 years by defeating Germany 3-1 in the classification match at the Wagener Stadion on Thursday.
Ishika scored in the 42nd minute, followed by two goals from Navneet Kaur in the 43rd and 46th minutes, while Lynn Krings netted the lone goal for Germany at the 58th minute.
Following this historic fifth-place result, the team now shifts its focus to the upcoming Asian Games next month, where they aim to challenge for the gold medal.
