Heavy Rain Floods Tents of Displaced Gazans Amid Continuing Israeli Strikes

Heavy rain on Saturday flooded tens of thousands of displaced people's tents across Gaza, causing the collapse of cracked walls and roofs that resulted in multiple injuries.

Civil defence spokesman Mahmoud Bassal reported receiving over 1,500 urgent distress calls overnight from residents whose temporary shelters were completely inundated by rainwater.

Municipal officials stated that Israel has permitted only a limited number of tents and needs to urgently allow 200,000 prefabricated homes along with heavy machinery.
