The Municipal Corporation of Delhi set a target to enroll 50,000 new students in its schools within a month through a special door-to-door drive.
Teachers were instructed to visit local neighborhoods every Saturday and encourage families to enroll children in MCD schools.
The committee also addressed basic infrastructure deficiencies by directing officials to expedite proposals for hiring nearly 3,000 sanitation and security workers.
