Ten Climbers Missing After Avalanche on Pakistan's Broad Peak

Ten climbers, led by renowned Nepali mountaineer Nirmal Purja, are missing following an avalanche on the 8,047-metre Broad Peak in Pakistan's Karakoram range.

The expedition team includes five Nepalese, one Pakistani, one Omani, one Chinese, one American, and one other foreign national who have been out of communication since the incident.

The Alpine Club of Pakistan is coordinating rescue efforts, including potential helicopter support, pending weather conditions for the 12th-highest mountain in the world.
