A Delhi court allowed US national Matthew Aaron VanDyke and six Ukrainian nationals to travel back to their home countries after the NIA charge sheet omitted UAPA charges.
The accused were charged only under sections 21 and 23 of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, having compounded immigration offences by paying a ₹5.5 lakh penalty.
Special Judge Prashant Sharma granted the individuals 30 days to fulfil travel requirements and ordered them to inform the NIA of their foreign contact details.
