U.S. Issues Security Alert Urging Citizens to Leave Iran Amid Regional Tensions

The United States issued a fresh travel warning for Iran, urging American citizens not to travel to the country and demanding those currently there to leave immediately.

The U.S. Virtual Embassy warned of potential flight cancellations, airspace closures, complex regional security, and possible threats to diplomatic facilities and businesses overseas.

Citizens were advised to enrol in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program, avoid demonstrations, and maintain a low profile in locations publicly associated with the U.S.
