Jharkhand Students Protest Recruitment Irregularities as CM Promises High-Level Committee

Hundreds of students in Ranchi are protesting for the 13th day on August 6, 2026, demanding a CBI probe into alleged irregularities in the 14th JPSC and JSSC-CGL recruitment examinations.

Student leader Devendra Nath Mahto is spearheading the indefinite sit-in at Jaipal Singh Munda Stadium, where the number of participants on a hunger strike increased to six as of August 4.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha General Secretary Vinod Pandey announced that the government will form a high-level committee within one or two days to address the aspirants' demands for recruitment reforms.
