Polish military affairs prosecutor Bartosz Okoniewski said a Russian Gerbera-2 drone carrying a warhead and detonator was found in the sea off northern Poland on September 14, 2026.
Defence minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz stated that the drone was located near the village of Rusinowo in northwestern Poland and likely lost during test manoeuvres over the Baltic Sea.
The district prosecutor's office in Szczecin launched proceedings to investigate the incident for causing an endangerment to human life and valuable property.
