CJI declines meeting Rahul Gandhi, says Supreme Court doors open to all

Chief Justice of India Justice Surya Kant declined a meeting with LoPs Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, stating he had maintained the confidentiality of their exchanged letters.

The opposition leaders had written to the CJI seeking a meeting to hand over a memorandum demanding an end to vote chori and the resignation of CEC Gyanesh Kumar.

Addressing how elected representatives should take concerns forward, the CJI stated that the doors of the Supreme Court remain open for any citizen or elected body member to approach.
