Asha Singh, 60, and her husband Bajrang Singh, a retired colonel, are participating in the challenging 122 km Silk Route Ultra at the Ladakh Marathon, crossing Trans-Himalayan mountains from Kyagar Village to Khardung La.
The couple began running after Bajrang's retirement from the Indian Army, eventually becoming the first Indian pair to complete all six World Marathon Majors alongside holding two Guinness World Records.
Preparing for sub-zero temperatures and low oxygen conditions at altitudes reaching 17,000 feet, the couple maintained a training mileage of around 150 km per week.
