The ongoing disaster has left numerous families stranded as their homes remain submerged, prompting widespread calls for a more effective and permanent flood management strategy for the region.

Adil Hussain expressed deep personal distress over the crisis, noting that his own nieces are currently trapped by the rising waters in Sivasagar while awaiting rescue and relief efforts.
