Eastern York High School Shifts to Remote Learning After Tornado

Eastern York High School will conduct remote instruction from August 26 to August 28, 2026, following significant structural damage caused by a tornado on August 20.

The school's performing arts center sustained the most severe damage, with portions of the roof torn away, leaving some classrooms exposed to the elements.

District officials plan to assess the progress of restoration crews throughout the week before deciding if students can safely return to the building for in-person classes.
