India has approved 29 Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) proposals worth ₹4,895.65 crore following the revision of land-border investment rules that now allow up to 10% Chinese stake in specific projects.
The government's move aims to balance national security concerns with the need to attract global capital, with officials noting that the revised framework has successfully yielded results for domestic infrastructure.
The policy shift is expected to encourage further investment from neighboring countries, provided they comply with the stringent screening processes established by the Ministry of Commerce.
