Telangana is exploring a proposal to make six months of robotic surgery training mandatory for postgraduate medical students across government hospitals.

Health Minister C. Damodar Raja Narasimha announced that the state will approach the National Medical Commission for approval.

Surgeons from 35 medical colleges and 47 hospitals are currently receiving training at Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences and MNJ Cancer Institute.
