The Central Board of Secondary Education issued a notice to promote digital payments across educational institutions in alignment with Ministry of Finance plans.
Schools are advised to enable universal acceptance infrastructure such as UPI and RuPay cards for fees, canteens, and libraries, adopting UPI Lite in low-connectivity areas.
Institutions are encouraged to integrate with the Bharat Bill Payment System for secure fee collections and incorporate financial literacy into teacher training programs.
