Apple is targeting a 2027 launch for its camera-equipped AirPods, according to a report by Mark Gurman, despite a leaked demo video suggesting an earlier release.

The company is developing two variants under codenames B790, a modified AirPods Pro 3 with sensors, and B798, a next-generation model featuring built-in cameras.

Development challenges, including privacy concerns, remain a primary focus for Apple as it works on integrating these new capabilities into its audio hardware lineup.
