Shares of major brokerage firms Angel One and Motilal Oswal fell by up to 2.5% on Friday as daily market turnover showed signs of declining.
The decline is attributed to the implementation of the new Closing Auction Session (CAS) system, which has introduced unexpected volatility in the final minutes of trading.
While the Nifty saw a 390-point jump post-close due to the new system, traders remain cautious as the market adjusts to the revised price discovery mechanism.
