Police arrested 36-year-old R Prashanth at Bengaluru airport early Monday after his return from Sharjah following a multi-state counterfeit medicine investigation.
Investigators had previously seized fake medicines, expired stock, and forged labels from a Kurubarakeranahalli facility with a total FDA-cited value of about ₹5.05 crore.
The Special Investigation Team recorded Prashanth's preliminary statement and is expected to produce him before a court on Monday to seek custody.
