Despite the diplomatic overtures, Iran's military command warned that any country receiving frozen Iranian assets as compensation for damaged vessels will be barred from transiting the Strait of Hormuz.
Trump is scheduled to meet Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House later Tuesday to discuss Iran's nuclear site at Pickaxe Mountain, which the U.S. has threatened to strike.
