Binance released an investigation showing that a $6 billion cryptocurrency heist on October 29 was executed by hackers using fake job interviews, malicious code, and compromised developer tools.
The US Federal Bureau of Investigation attributed the cyberattack to North Korea-affiliated hackers, though Pyongyang has denied the allegations through official statements.
Binance stated it has replenished 98 percent of affected assets using its own funds and successfully frozen roughly $2.85 billion of the stolen digital assets.
