The Reserve Bank of India's special USD-INR forex swap facility attracted $72.85 billion in total inflows as of August 21, 2026.
FCNR(B) deposits accounted for $65.40 billion of the total, while external commercial borrowings and overseas foreign currency borrowings contributed $2.59 billion and $4.86 billion respectively.
The FCNR(B) deposit window closes on August 31, 2026, while the remaining two routes under the facility will stay open until December 31, 2026.
