Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts faced criticism from fans for keeping slumping superstar Shohei Ohtani in the lineup during the National League Championship Series.
Ohtani has been managing left knee and right biceps discomfort since June, prompting the team to end his pitching program in July and place him on the injured list.
Roberts restored Ohtani to the leadoff spot for Game 4 against the Milwaukee Brewers, defending the decision by stating the player felt confident he could contribute.
