Assam Flood Crisis: Death Toll Reaches 100 With 1.3 Lakh Affected

The death toll from recent floods in Assam has reached 100, with 7.21 lakh people affected across the state following heavy rainfall between July 18 and July 22, 2026.

Districts including Sivasagar and Charaideo, previously considered safer, experienced unprecedented destruction after embankments were breached near the Assam-Nagaland border.
