Slain Anti-Drug Crusader Parvinder Singh Jhota's Protest Site Set Up in Punjab

Anti-drug crusader Parvinder Singh Jhota was shot dead in broad daylight on October 13 in Punjab's Mansa town, leaving his last rites unperformed a fortnight later.

A pucca morcha protest site has been established on a road in the Tikoni area of Mansa, where giant hoardings declare the slain activist a martyr and urge people to protect his ideals.

A steady crowd of locals continues to arrive at the permanent sit-in protest site past barricades and traffic diversions to sustain the prolonged agitation.
