Kishan sat out as a precautionary measure following an injury sustained earlier in the series, while Sooryavanshi aims to improve after scoring 4 runs in the second match.

New Zealand rested Matt Henry for the remainder of the series and will miss Lockie Ferguson for the third match, allowing Kyle Jamieson and Adam Milne to return.
