Canva Launches Craft In-House Image Generation Model

Canva has launched Craft, its first in-house foundation model developed by its AI research unit to generate images up to 2K resolution across more than 30 aspect ratios.

Craft features a unique two-stage architecture that separates image composition planning from rendering to improve text rendering and element editability.

The model debuted as the fourth most advanced image generator on DesignArena and ranked first globally in the People and Portraits and Landscapes and Nature categories.
