The 2026 Harvest Moon will occur on Saturday, September 26, across major US states including Connecticut, New York, Florida, Michigan, and California.
The Moon will reach peak illumination at 12:49 p.m. EDT, while in Los Angeles the peak will occur at 9:49 a.m. PDT.
Because the peak happens during daylight hours across much of the US, astronomical sources recommend viewing the full moon after sunset.
