India's men's soft tennis team opened their Group C preliminary campaign at the Asian Games with a 0-3 defeat against Chinese Taipei on Friday.

Jay Meena and Yogesh Choudhary lost their opening doubles match 0-5, followed by Aryan Thakur falling 1-4 in singles to give Chinese Taipei an unassailable lead.

Aniket Patel and Om Yadav dropped the second doubles match 1-5, leaving India looking to bounce back in their upcoming fixture against Mongolia.
