JD(U) Pressures Speaker for Expelled MLA Anant Singh's Disqualification

JD(U) State president Umesh Kushwaha visited the Assembly Speaker's office on Monday to press for the disqualification of recently expelled Mokama MLA Anant Singh, receiving assurance of quick action.

The ruling NDA government also removed Singh's wife, former MLA Neelam Devi, from the 20-point programme committee and ordered her to vacate her Patna bungalow by November 25.

Singh claimed he would launch his own political party rather than join another, while the JD(U) submitted 10 pages of evidence and a video CD regarding his anti-party activities.
