IIT Madras Inaugurates Rs 3.3 Crore Construction Robotics Lab

IIT Madras inaugurated a Rs 3.30-crore robotics laboratory on its campus to advance research and applications in construction technology and automation.

Established with support from Bechtel India, the lab will provide facilities for testing prototypes, conducting technology demonstrations, and developing construction robotics.

Bechtel will contribute industry inputs to the curriculum, provide professional mentorship, and offer selected students internship opportunities.
