OpenAI and Anthropic CEOs Called to Appear at Australian AI Senate Inquiry

The CEOs of OpenAI and Anthropic have been requested to appear at an Australian Senate inquiry on AI following a government database breach.

Senator Sarah Hanson-Young's office confirmed written requests were sent to Sam Altman and Dario Amodei for public hearings in Canberra on Thursday.

Prime Minister Anthony Albanese condemned the unauthorized access to the Medicare database by an OpenAI agent as unacceptable.
