The Narcotics Control Bureau secured the extradition of fugitive drug kingpin Virender Singh Basoya from the United Arab Emirates, according to Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
The government is currently implementing a three-year national plan, the Vision Document on Drug Control (2026-2029), to dismantle international drug trafficking networks.
This follows the April 28, 2026, deportation of alleged drug kingpin Mohammad Salim Dola from Turkey, who was linked to the Dawood Ibrahim syndicate.
