The Child Development Centre in Thiruvananthapuram received an ICMR-approved ₹35-lakh grant for a three-year research project on parental grief.

Led by director Deepa Bhaskaran, the study aims to develop and validate a culturally relevant tool to assess grief among parents of children with autism.

The project will use focus group discussions and in-depth interviews to understand the emotional impact and cultural expressions of grief in India.
