First Israeli election exit polls showed the opposition bloc holding a slight edge over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's camp as voting ended Tuesday.
The opposition bloc was projected to win 52 or 53 seats, while Mr. Netanyahu's bloc was projected to secure 50 seats in the 120-seat Knesset.
Opposition figures stated the results reflect a lack of confidence in Mr. Netanyahu's government, though neither camp reached an outright majority.
