Israeli settlers set fire to a mosque and spray-painted Hebrew graffiti on its exterior walls on Wednesday in the occupied West Bank village of Mikhmas.
Resident Atta Kanaan stated that locals used fire extinguishers to contain the blaze after hearing breaking glass, preventing flames from consuming the entire building.
The Israeli military confirmed that soldiers were dispatched following reports of arson and graffiti, stating that no suspects have been identified yet and an investigation is open.
