The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially stripped Sri Lanka of the hosting rights for the inaugural 2027 Women's Champions Trophy.
The decision follows a deepening governance crisis within the Sri Lanka Cricket board, which has raised concerns regarding the country's ability to host a major global tournament.
The ICC is currently evaluating potential replacement hosts, with India emerging as a strong candidate to take over the event, though no formal announcement has been made.
