Piyush Goyal Highlights Ladakh's GI-Tagged Sea Buckthorn as Golden Treasure

Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal praised Ladakh's GI-tagged sea buckthorn, harvested in Nubra Valley at 12,000 feet, as a 'golden treasure of India's natural heritage'.

Known as 'Ladakh Gold', the bright orange berry contains vitamin C, carotenoids, flavonoids, and essential fatty acids that contribute to antioxidant and immune support.

Experts advise choosing products with minimal added sugar and consulting healthcare practitioners before taking concentrated supplements, especially for individuals with acid reflux or those on medication.
