Amazon launches generative AI-powered personal assistant Alexa+ in India

Amazon launched its generative AI-powered personal assistant Alexa+ in India on Wednesday, available for free under early access across eligible devices.

Developed by engineering teams in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, and Chennai, the assistant understands English, Hindi, Hinglish, and other Indian languages.

After early access, Alexa+ will remain free for Prime members, while non-Prime customers can access it via a ₹2,000 monthly standalone subscription.
