The Orissa High Court issued notices to five suspended BJD MLAs regarding petitions seeking their disqualification for alleged cross-voting in Rajya Sabha elections.
Justice MS Sahoo directed the legislators to file their replies by December 4 and scheduled the next hearing for January 11.
The BJD challenged the assembly speaker's earlier dismissal of its disqualification petitions, which alleged MLAs voted for a BJP-supported independent candidate.
