Thousands demonstrate in Paris and across Europe amid rising cost of living protests

Hundreds of thousands of protesters demonstrated across France in a third weekend of nationwide protests against the rising cost of living and poor public services.

France's interior ministry reported that more than 320,000 people took to the streets nationwide, with at least 290 protesters arrested and 70,000 demonstrating in Paris where police fired tear gas.

Demonstrations also spread to Albania, Germany, and Italy as young people took to the streets across Europe.
