India Targets $50 Billion Export Opportunity in Telecom Sector

India currently maintains a minor role in global telecom trade, with annual exports of network equipment valued between $0.6 billion and $1 billion.

The nation's imports of telecom and network equipment are currently four to five times higher than its total export volume.

The government is aiming to leverage emerging sectors to capture a $50 billion export opportunity to improve the current trade imbalance.
