Cricket Australia Confirms Privatization Plans for Big Bash League

Cricket Australia announced on Tuesday that it will proceed with the privatization of the Big Bash League, allowing state bodies to sell stakes in their respective clubs.

The Melbourne Renegades are the first team officially listed for sale, while the Melbourne Stars will be fully managed by Cricket Victoria under the new model.

The Australian Cricketers Association is pushing for an increase in the player revenue share from 27.5 per cent to 33 per cent in response to the ownership changes.
