Pakistan's National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency has summoned seven cricketers, including Mohammad Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq, to examine data retrieved from their personal mobile phones.
The players were previously sent home from their tour of England by the Pakistan Cricket Board, which also raised internal questions regarding the selection of the two named athletes.
The investigation follows a directive to scrutinize the players' devices, marking a significant disciplinary action involving the national team's roster and the country's cyber security authorities.
