
State Bank of India (SBI) reported a 10% year-on-year rise in net profit to ₹21,121 crore for the first quarter ending June 2026.
The bank's Net Interest Income (NII) grew by 12%, supported by healthy loan growth and improved asset quality across its retail and corporate portfolios.
Following the announcement, SBI shares surged over 3% on the stock exchange, outperforming market expectations for the quarter.
