India-China Border Talks Focus on Stability Ahead of BRICS Summit

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi are holding the 25th round of Special Representative talks in Beijing on August 25, 2026.

The discussions aim to institutionalise stability along the Line of Actual Control and operationalise the 'early harvest' process for boundary delimitation established during last year's 24th round.

The meeting serves to clear obstacles and set the political tone for Chinese President Xi Jinping's expected visit to India for the September 12 BRICS Summit in New Delhi.
